The Town respectfully asks that residents only visit fire stations for emergency reasons and to limit social visits to our Town Hall.
The Town recognizes that residents may not want to travel to public spaces. For individuals who need to conduct business at a Town Hall, our staff is willing to assist folks to conduct business over the phone and online.
In response to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Town of Palisade has been working with the County Health & Emergency Response Department to plan in case of a pandemic outbreak. The Police, Fire and Emergency Services departments have protocols in place to keep themselves and our citizens safe and with Governor Polis’s emergency designation we have access to the necessary supplies to equip our personnel. We are also working with the region's Utility providers to ensure collaboration and uninterrupted services.
With the first confirmed case in Mesa County, this necessitates limiting access to public buildings and putting in place policies to protect staff. Rest assured these measures are preventative and Palisade is working alongside our County governments to keep our citizens safe. At this point, it is important that we all follow the advice of the CDC and Mesa County Health Department, https://health.mesacounty.us/. Social distancing and attention to hygiene will help minimize the spread of COVID 19.
The Town of Palisade is working with regional and state agencies to monitor and be prepared for any outbreak that might occur of the COVID-19 virus in Mesa County. It is most important that citizens stay informed and follow the protocols recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as explained and continually updated on Mesa County Health Department site, https://health.mesacounty.us/covid19/. Remember, wash your hands, keep your hands away from your face, stay in if you are sick and contact your doctor if your symptoms get worse.
Everyone is doing all they can right now to stay safe and healthy. To help limit interpersonal contact, which will help slow the spread of the virus, please remember that The Town of Palisade offers online payment options for utility bills and traffic citations at www.townofpalisade.org. You can also call us at (970) 464-5602 and make payments by check or credit card for all bills, citations, planning clearances, etc.
